TEWAC IC81W Squirrel Cage Low & Middle High Voltage Motor
TEWAC IC81W Closed squirrel cage rotor three-phase asynchronous high voltage motor, the protection level of this series of motors is IP54 or IP55, the cooling method is IC81W, the insulation level is F, and the highest voltage is 11 KV.
This series of motors is suitable for driving various machines without special requirements, such as machine tools, compressors, water pumps, ventilators, conveyor belts, crushers, etc., and can be used as prime movers in the machinery industry, petroleum industry, power generation industry and various industrial and mining enterprises. The motor is welded with all steel plates, has a reasonable structure, and has built-in shutters for good heat dissipation. - The maximum ambient air temperature shall not exceed 40°C; the minimum ambient air temperature shall be -15°C for motors with rolling bearings and 5°C for motors with sliding bearings;
- The power frequency is 50Hz±l%
- The operating voltage variation range is not greater than the rated voltage ±5%

CHAPTER ONE
High Voltage Motor with Water-to-Air Cooled Heat Exchanger(IC81W)
Cooling method: The motor cooling method code is composed of the letters IC, the cooling medium code and two characterizing digits.
IC81W——Cooling circuit arrangement: external cooler (using remote medium), that is, the primary cooling medium circulates in a closed loop, and transfers heat to the secondary cooling medium (remote medium) through the external cooler installed on the motor; the primary cooling medium is air, self-circulating (self-ventilating), and the secondary cooling medium (remote medium) is water.
The general description is fully enclosed air-water cooling and self-ventilating; a heat exchanger (air to water) is installed on the motor; the water circulation is powered by an independent water pump or water system.

How to determine the motor speed when selecting a high-voltage motor
The selection of the rated speed of the motor should be considered according to the requirements of the traction production machinery and the ratio of the transmission device.
The number of revolutions per minute of the motor is usually 3000, 1500, 1000, 750 and 600. The rated speed of the asynchronous motor is generally 2% to 5% lower than the above speed due to the slip rate.
From the perspective of motor manufacturing, the higher the rated speed of the motor with the same power, the smaller the size of its electromagnetic torque, the lower the cost and the lighter the weight.
In addition, the power factor and efficiency of the high-speed motor are higher than those of the low-speed motor.
If you can choose a motor with a higher speed, the better the economy.
However, if the speed difference between the motor and the traction machine is too large, the more transmission levels of the reduction device need to be installed, which will increase the equipment cost and the energy loss of the transmission.
