TEWAC IC611 Vertical Mount Squirrel Cage Induction Motors
TEWAC IC611 Vertical Mount Squirrel Cage Induction Motors, the protection level of this series of motors is IP23/IP54/IP55, the cooling method is IC01/IC611-CACA, the insulation level is F, and the highest voltage is 11 KV.
Two different motor series can be derived according to different cooling methods to meet different cooling requirements
TEWAC IC611 medium-sized air-cooled vertical three-phase asynchronous high-voltage motor with air-to-air cooler adopts the internationally popular circular structure, advanced technology, reasonable internal structure, and has the characteristics of large stall torque and large heat capacity. Its base and end cover are made of welded steel plates with good rigidity and light weight. After removing the protective cover (or cooler), the inside of the motor can be observed and touched, which is convenient for the installation and maintenance of the motor. The stator adopts an external pressure-mounted structure, most of the squirrel cage rotors use cast aluminum rotors, the winding rotor uses F-class insulation materials and anti-corona materials, and is vacuum pressure impregnated with F-class solvent-free paint (VPI) treatment. The winding end is fixed with a special binding process, which is firm and reliable, so that the motor has excellent and reliable insulation performance and moisture-proof and impact-resistant capabilities. With the improvement of the performance of insulation materials for motors in recent years and the application of low-loss silicon steel sheets, it is possible to reduce various losses of motors, thereby increasing the capacity of motors.

Basic conditions for normal operation of TEWAC IC611 Vertical Mount Squirrel Cage Induction Motors:
- Altitude not exceeding 1000m
- The maximum ambient air temperature shall not exceed 40°C; the minimum ambient air temperature shall be -15°C for motors with rolling bearings and 5°C for motors with sliding bearings;
- The power frequency is 50Hz±l%
- The operating voltage variation range is not greater than the rated voltage ±5%
- The motor is rated for continuous duty S1

CHAPTER ONE
Problems with welding parts such as high-voltage motor leads and joints
During the manufacturing process or maintenance of the motor, problems such as cold soldering and incomplete soldering can cause the solder joints of the motor to desolder during operation, resulting in large contact resistance at the welding part. After the solder is melted by power, sparks flash over at the desoldering part and burn the motor coil. This problem mostly occurs in the parallel head cover of the rotor coil inserted winding bar, the stator and rotor leads, the terminal blocks and other parts that need to be soldered.
In the contract for ordering electric motors, requirements for silver welding, phosphor copper welding or other special welding should be put forward for all parts that need to be welded to avoid similar accidents.

High voltage motor bearing problems
In the design of high-voltage motors, C3 bearings with large clearance are generally selected, and some larger motors use C4 clearance. During use, some bearing inner ring surfaces have point-shaped abrasion, which is mainly caused by the rotor shaft current. In the alternating magnetic field, the rotor generates eddy currents due to the induced voltage. After the induced current passes through the rotor shaft through the bearing and then through the motor housing to ground, electric sparks will appear in the bearing to produce point-shaped pits, causing bearing vibration and wear failures, and serious accidents will cause friction and sweeping of the stator and rotor.
A carbon brush can be installed on the motor rotor coupling, and the brush holder is fixed on the motor end cover to directly ground the shaft current, which can reduce or avoid the occurrence of such failures. In addition, the bearing supply channel must be reliable to avoid the use of counterfeit and inferior bearings that are refurbished from old ones. In addition, the lubricating oil of the bearing cannot be mixed. The bearing must be refueled according to the lubricating oil brand required in the technical manual, otherwise it will also cause damage to the bearing.
