LUPMOTORS IC611/IC81W high voltage explosion Proof (Increased safety) hazardous location motor are designed to ensure that no dangerous temperatures, arcs or sparks are generated during normal operation or specified abnormal conditions by taking additional safety measures. Our company uses domestically leading insulation technology and high-quality insulation materials that are close to the world’s advanced level to effectively reduce the temperature rise of the motor. At the same time, the motor uses a stable fastening method, seal, grounding and protection device. The enclosure protection level is improved by increasing the electrical clearance and creepage distance. Reliable conductor connection methods are used, and the electromagnetic design is optimized to ensure that the motor does not exceed the extreme temperature limit within the specified tE time.
This series of high voltage 3-phase motors can be used in explosive gas environments, it is used to drive general mechanical equipment such as fans, compressors, and water pumps. It is widely used in the petroleum, chemical, steel and other industries.

CHAPTER ONE
The Concept of Explosion Proof Hazardous Location Motor
An explosion-proof hazardous location motor is a motor specially designed for use in flammable and explosive environments.
It does not generate sparks during operation to ensure safety.
Explosion-proof motors are widely used in industries such as coal, oil and gas, petrochemical and chemical mining.
In addition, they are also widely used in textiles, metallurgy, urban gas, transportation, grain and oil processing, papermaking and medicine.
As the main power equipment, explosion-proof motors are usually used to drive pumps, fans, compressors and other transmission machinery.
According to the explosion-proof principle, explosion-proof motors can be divided into flame-retardant motors, high-safety motors, positive pressure motors, spark-free motors and dust explosion-proof motors.
In many environments, such as places with excessive friction, high temperature, dense dust and mine environments, there is a potential risk of explosion.
In the process of converting electrical energy into mechanical energy, the motor may generate sparks or high temperatures, which are hidden dangers of causing explosions.
Therefore, in order to ensure production safety, explosion-proof motors have become indispensable equipment in these dangerous occasions.

CHAPTER TWO
The Principles of Explosion
1.The concept of the Explosion
An explosion is when a substance suddenly changes from one state to another through physical or chemical changes, releasing huge amounts of energy. The rapidly released energy can cause strong impact and damage to surrounding objects.
The following three conditions must be met for an explosion to occur:
In a specific environment, if these three conditions exist at the same time, an explosion may occur. Therefore, in flammable and explosive places, measures must be taken to eliminate or control these conditions to ensure safe production.
The following three conditions must be met for an explosion to occur:
- Explosive substances: substances that can react with oxygen (air), including gases, liquids and solids. (Gases: hydrogen, acetylene, methane, etc.; liquids: alcohol, gasoline; solids: dust, fiber dust, etc.
- Oxygen: air.
- Ignition sources: including open flames, electrical sparks, mechanical sparks, static sparks, high temperatures, chemical reactions, light energy, etc.
(2) Reasons for explosion protection
- Explosive substances: Many production sites will produce certain flammable substances. About two-thirds of underground coal mines have explosive substances; in the chemical industry, more than 80% of production workshops have explosive substances.
- Oxygen: Oxygen in the air is everywhere.
- Ignition source: In the production process, electrical instruments are used in large quantities, and various friction sparks, mechanical wear sparks, static sparks, high temperatures, etc. are inevitable, especially when instruments and electrical failures occur.
Objectively, many industrial sites meet the explosion conditions. When the mixed concentration of explosive substances and oxygen is within the explosion limit, if there is an explosion source, an explosion will occur. Therefore, it is necessary to take explosion-proof measures.
